It never fails. I go to the store for some basic household items and always find myself in the toy aisle. Specifically the doll section. Looking for a doll with curly or kinky hair. I usually leave empty handed but not this time. As I approached the end of the doll aisle I was quite disappointed. Not a curly haired doll in sight. Before I turned the corner I glanced down and saw a So In Style "Trichelle" doll thrown on the bottom shelf. The last one! I walked to the price scanner and scanned the doll, she was only $7 and some change. Perfect! Thank you Walmart! :)
Check out the pics. A loves her!
Perfect!!! I love the doll!!! I too search for curly hair dolls...but I am typically not so lucky!
ReplyDeleteaww too cute!
ReplyDeleteAww, A's new doll is super cute! I struggle with this all the time. I want GDL to have a doll that looks like her but there is no "doll that looks white but is really black" in existence that I know of, lol. I don't want her to associate her features with just one race so... It's a confusing issue to me so I just end up buying every doll of every color, lol.
ReplyDeleteooooooooh, I want one, I want one!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, so pretty. But it's not here where i live :(
ReplyDeleteYour daughter's hair look soooooo pretty like that... so how long did it take for you to take out those mini braids? I'm sure you won't entertain doing those again anytime soon lol!
ReplyDeleteI love this! She looks so similar to your daughter haha
ReplyDeleteoh and your daughter's hair is the BOMB--look how long and thick it is!
ReplyDeleteCute! I've seen this doll at the walmart near me. I can't wait to see what you're going to do to her hair next!!
ReplyDeleteI just love your blog I don't have any girls of my own just 4 little boys (love with all my heart) but I reccomend your blog to my sister, fam, and friends that have girls to get inspired by your blog
ReplyDeleteMy bf bought that doll for my daughter a few months ago for making an A on her spelling test.
ReplyDeleteHey - I notice your daughter has on a Snow white dress. If you go to the Disney website you can get a Snow white dress for Trichelle. We do this all the time. We buy cinderella and other princess dresses and put them on our SIS dolls. This reinforces the message that my brown skinned, ebony eyed, curly haired daughter can be anything she wants to be - including Snow White!!
