Maintaining Curl Definition Overnight + Day 2 with Queen Helene Royal Curl Creme

I told you all yesterday I would keep you posted on how A's curls hold up with Queen Helene Royal Curl Creme so here we are on day 2. Her curls look fab! I would normally pineapple (high, loose ponytail on the top of her head) overnight but after seeing Baby Big Hair's beautiful day 2 results I decided to do what she did and braid the hair into some loose braids overnight. I spritzed her hair with a little water to make it easy for me to part the hair (with my fingers) in 3 sections for each braid. She had a total of 6 loose braids when I was done, I left the ends out so they would keep their curl. I took carefully took the braids down when she woke up, making sure I did not disrupt any defined curls and these are the results! Still beautifully defined. The crunchiness on the bottom layer is almost completely gone but it's still a little crunchy on the top. We'll see how day 3 goes. I am very pleased with this product so far.

  1. Second hair down turned out awesome. I guess the crunch has to be worth it.

  2. I'm gonna have to try this on my baby. Her hair is a lot like A's hair. Her curls shrink up so much I never let her wear it down although I love it when its just free.
