Lil Man's Two Strand Twists

I twisted Lil Man's hair for the first time last night and I love the way they look on him! He's showing some major scalp because his hair isn't nearly as thick as his big sisters (yet) but I think this might be our new go-to style for him. His hair tangles really easily, especially from him rubbing the back of his head on everything so this should be a perfect solution. The best part was he sat still the entire time and watched Ni Hao Kai Lan. It only took about 10 minutes which is perfect for a 2 year old toddler.

I started on wet hair. I applied a nice amount of Bee Mine Luscious Moisturizer and detangled with this Denman D4 brush. I added a little Bee Mine Bee Loved Hair & Scalp Moisturizer on top of the luscious moisturizer then I began parting medium sections of hair with my fingers and twisting. Each time I twisted a section I dipped my fingers in some Bee Mine Curly Butter for hold. I was surprised to see his twists actually stay in and not unravel because his hair is finer than A's. I think I owe that to the Bee Mine Curly Butter. Speaking of Bee Mine, I wanted to let you all know that I added their products (along with some of my other favorites) to our Amazon store. Check it out!

Miss A has soccer practice tomorrow so I will update you on her 3 Cornrowed Ponytail style soon.

Edited to add: You can still purchase Bee Mine from their website, Bee Mine Products Our current reader discount code is BBBHOT, good until the end of August for 10% off your $15 minimum purchase.

  8. I am so glad I saw this. My daughter is two and I have been trying to figure out what to do with her hair for the same reason. I have been doing bantu knots, but I think I will just twist it. I love this blog! Thanks so much for all the tips!!
