Lil Man's Two Strand Twists

I twisted Lil Man's hair for the first time last night and I love the way they look on him! He's showing some major scalp because his hair isn't nearly as thick as his big sisters (yet) but I think this might be our new go-to style for him. His hair tangles really easily, especially from him rubbing the back of his head on everything so this should be a perfect solution. The best part was he sat still the entire time and watched Ni Hao Kai Lan. It only took about 10 minutes which is perfect for a 2 year old toddler.

I started on wet hair. I applied a nice amount of Bee Mine Luscious Moisturizer and detangled with this Denman D4 brush. I added a little Bee Mine Bee Loved Hair & Scalp Moisturizer on top of the luscious moisturizer then I began parting medium sections of hair with my fingers and twisting. Each time I twisted a section I dipped my fingers in some Bee Mine Curly Butter for hold. I was surprised to see his twists actually stay in and not unravel because his hair is finer than A's. I think I owe that to the Bee Mine Curly Butter. Speaking of Bee Mine, I wanted to let you all know that I added their products (along with some of my other favorites) to our Amazon store. Check it out!

Miss A has soccer practice tomorrow so I will update you on her 3 Cornrowed Ponytail style soon.

Edited to add: You can still purchase Bee Mine from their website, Bee Mine Products Our current reader discount code is BBBHOT, good until the end of August for 10% off your $15 minimum purchase.

Cornrows & Mini Braids + Lil Man's Cornrows

I decided to switch up the top of A's mini braids after 21/26 days of being in. I didn't take out too many, about the first 2-3 rows of mini braids in the front. It still took about an hour to take them down. The take down was pretty easy, I didn't wet the braids and add conditioner as I normally would because I was on a time crunch and I prefer cornrowing dry hair. As you can see, the cornrows at the top are really basic I started in the very middle and parted at an angle the entire time. The cornrows took about 30 minutes.

I braided Lil Man's hair as well. As you can see, I just did some basic straight back cornrows. It took about 30 minutes as well.

Gorgeous Curls With Kinky-Curly

Remember when I posted the Kinky-Curly review? I said I liked the Curling Custard on A's hair but I wasn't really feelin' the Knot Today. Well, I'm loving both on Lil Man's hair! I posted on Facebook earlier that I washed Lil Man's hair and applied Kinky-Curly Knot Today and Curling Custard to his hair and it looked like he had a jheri curl, I was just waiting for it to dry to see the final results. Well these are the final results! Gorgeous curls, right? And this is AFTER his nap and "highchair hair"! Some curls are a little crunchy but I'm hoping the crunch will be gone by tomorrow. Just wanted to share!
