I just found this picture of my first cornrow taken on January 1st, 2009. I attempted to braid all the way back but I couldn't so I stopped half way. I cannot thank this website enough for teaching me!
If you're new to cornrowing, make sure you check out our Cornrowing For Beginners post.

ReplyDeleteYou did a good job! Have not yet attempted cornrows on my daughter yet, but I am excited for when I do! :-)
ReplyDeleteWait a minute!!! So you weren't always a pro??? I had no idea, I follow this on my google reader but always feel like "I'll NEVER be able to braid/style like that - I can't even cornrow!" *tears*
ReplyDeletewell isn't that just precious!

I have a hard time doing corn rolls I can never get it neat enough or tight enough, I guess practice makes perfect?
ReplyDeleteI just stumbled past your blog and I am now a new follower! I have four girls and I don't know how to do a lick of hair!! Don't get me wrong though I can put in a mean twistie or barrette lol but I don't now how to braid and I always wanted to learn so I thank you for the inspiration!! I feel like I have ruined my 2 older girls hair b/c I put a perm and texturizer in their hair but the smaller two are still natural and thats exactly how I'm gonna keep them! Once again Thank You and I look forward to see what you come up w/ next!!
ReplyDeleteThat is what mine were looking like, I am getting better though, any tips on how you got them to look so clean and neat, mine are still a little fuzzy, even when they are first done. Thanks for all your tips, I would still be lost without this blog!!!
