Now I shop on line Curly is cutter has been good to me. Fast delivery and reasonable prices. When i was in the States I used to like Claires, and local hair/beauty supply stores.
You already know I love the Dollar Tree. However, my local Family Dollar has been stepping it up in girl's accessories. Of course, my choice are effected by monetary resources, lol.
While I don't have a favorite place to buy, I love it when I'm out looking for other things and find the perfect hair accessories - and then buy them! It's even more fun if I find it someplace completely unexpected, like at the pharmacy.
For inspiration and window shopping, Etsy is my favorite.
I make her hair bows, but I will buy her plastic barrettes and beads from the beauty supply or the dollar store. I have to try Claiere's since so many people mention it. I haven't shopped there since the early 2000's when I was a teen.
well i make most of her bows im a sucker for gymboree curlies and their clips that i can use a bow centers. i also love the dollar store, walmart, target, claires, and the craft stores. im always finding unique stuff almost every place i go.
I like the idea of buying from work at home moms (like on etsy or hyena cart) but the shipping time sometimes stops me :( I see what I want and I want it now!
But the only place to buy locally is walmart - and I haven't been happy with their kids stuff. the things I've purchased from the main hair section have been fine, tho, so we do have some of that in our stash.
Mostly I just make our own tho. so far. I'm starting to want more and more tho - the more I see! I've seen some REALLY cute stuff on etsy lately. I may just have to bite the bullet and have them ship them!
I don't have a favorite place, I just look whenever I'm out shopping and pick up different ones here and there. Our local Meijer has a pretty good selection though.
I think I shop at about every store that has been mentioned so far. I wanted to add Joanne Fabrics. I was very surprised to find reasonable priced really cute hair accessories!
I see walmart is basically at the top of the list. Thanks for the info on the ponytail holders because I would not have thought to go to the beauty section at walmart.
i order everything online but i have just started to make hair accessories ie headbands and hairclips myself.. i got tired of not being able to find anything that i loved.. i want their hair styles to make a statement as well so i've been making a lot of afro love hair stuff i'll send some pics through soon

ReplyDeletei like to go tho the beauty supply store in my area, or sometimes i go to wal-mart, because they do have some nice stuff.
ReplyDeleteI make my own bows and hair clips.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a favorite--just ones where the price is right and the acessories are "ouchless" or barette-clipped and not metal clipped:
ReplyDelete1. dollar tree (ouchless elastics, ouchless headbands)
2. walmart (ouchless elastics, ouchless headbands, mini-clips, barette-clips, craft beads, bows, giant flowers)
3. local bss (metal-less ballies, mini-barettes, beads, snaps, giant flower bows)
