Video Tutorial: Banded Three Strand Twist Style

Photobucket

I was on the banded kick for a while. lol I decided to try something a little different and do a banded three strand twist look. I added a few beads to the ends. The style took about 20-30 minutes.

My camera died while I was making the video, but you get the idea, right? :)

I also wanted to thank everyone so much for your thoughts and prayers, I truly appreciate it. My little brother was released from the hospital last week and all has been well. <3

  1. Do you blow dry her hair before you start? My daughter's hair is so curly that I can't do styles like this. Thanks!

  3. @Charmaine, no I did not. Her hair was previously stretched out from the other banded styles. Try banding her hair or stretching it in big braids, then you will be able to do it. My daughters hair is very curly as well, so I totally understand what you mean.

  4. Glad to hear everythings ok.

A's hair is pretty. I love banding as well because it helps stretch curly hair. Although...it may not show the true length, it does help if you want to do a style in which you want to see some length without using any heat.

  9. They are Cute. I took your idea about 2 weeks ago, I was sick and did not feel like braiding, ( http://mylittlerascals-letty.blogspot.com/2010/03/5-minute-hair-style.html ) she liked them after I took them off she said she wanted more "puffs" and I did 4 instead of 2.
THank you for the great ideas Nikki.

  10. I'm about to try the styles in my three year old's hair because I surely don't want to fight with her to put braids in. Hopefully she'll sit still lol

  12. I love it. I did banding for Saint Patty's Day with pretty green bands. How do you put the beads on the bottom? Do you have a video of that?
