I have been using Curly Q's Milkshake for some time now in Lil Man's hair and while I love the smell it doesn't seem to have a lot of hold. I am going to be experimenting with a few products to see how they work on his little curls. :)
I recently tried Bee Mine Curly Butter in his hair for the second time. The first time I just applied a little Curly Butter on wet hair and let it dry, his curls looked great! This time applied about a quarter size amount of Curly Butter to his damp hair and twirled some of his curls around my index finger.
These photos show what his hair looked like about 3 hours after applying the product. Mind you he is a very active little guy. He's a super ninja crawler and loves rubbing his head on the back of his high chair. I'm loving the results.
He is 1 year 4 months.
ReplyDeletetoo cute I might just try it with mine.

ReplyDeleteI love his curls Nikki...they are too cute.
Hey Nikki, I wanted to ask you. How long are you going to let his hair get or do you plan on cutting his hair at a certain age?
ReplyDeleteHe is so adorable. His curls look nice. I was going to try curly q for my daughter but since you said that they dont have a nice hold then back to shopping for a nice product line i go ;-/
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone have an affordable product line they could suggest? My daughter is 8 months. I wanted to try Bee Mine but its a little out of my price range at the moment
ReplyDeleteThanks so much everyone!
ReplyDeletedimples I plan on letting it grow for a while.
Alese, I love Curly Q's shampoo and conditioner. Love!! The milkshake doesn't have a lot of hold, but they also have a "custard" which supposedly has hold. I think it would be worth a shot. If you want to email me some pictures or tell me a bit about her hair maybe I can try recommending some things.
Cute! I did similar style with my son's hair this week using Bella Curls styling cream and got similar results. Course they don't last too long with active toddler boys. :-)
ReplyDeleteAww...Little Man is ultra kawaii handsome with the shirt & tie.
ReplyDeletecute cant wait for mine to come in!!!
ReplyDeleteawwwww he's so handsome. I want a boy !
ReplyDeleteHe is such a cutie!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks nikki. I'm going to send you a email to see if you could suggest some things for me. THanks
ReplyDelete@Alese. I like Soft and Precious hairdress. www.softandprecious.com
ReplyDeleteCool. Can't wait to see his hair growing like weeds.
ReplyDelete@ Nikki,
Will you also have Lil man on the blog often and tell us his routine as well?
He's a cutie! Love the second and third pics. So, are you going to let his hair grow long for a while? (When my son was 1, I planned to let him keep his long hair for 3 years, but my husband cut his 6 inch hair behind my back when I was at work. I was steaming mad.)
ReplyDeleteHow cute! :)
ReplyDeleteI am going to give that a try because I don't know what to put on my son hair. My son is 10 months and mix with 1/2 spanish (salvadorean)/1/2 black and its like his hair hasn't made up his mind how its going to be. So thanks for that information.
