Friendly Reminder

I wanted to remind everyone of the Giveaway I plan to do once I reach 100 followers.

If you're anything like me, you bookmark blogs instead of following them. GUILTY AS CHARGED! Ok, I don't do that anymore! I promise! :) Please follow the blog. The Giveaway is only open to those of you who follow Beads, Braids, & Beyond! Again, it will just be something like some cute hair accessories, nothing major, but hey- it's free! haha

I would like to thank all of the followers we have so far! I truly appreciate it! I would also like to thank those of you who have spread the word about this blog! Thanks so much everyone!

I also made some buttons for the blog. (to the right) Please feel free to use the code on your website!!

  2. Hi! Just found your blog and thank you for starting one up. I am biracial and my dd is black with 25% white. Her hair is very different from mine so it has been a journey to learn what works best for her. Also since she started kindergarten last year she was made fun of having curly hair so bad that she begs me to blow dry it out straight. No matter what she just will not wear it curly and that makes me so sad for her!! Anyway, I will show her your little cutie and see what she thinks.

  3. Omg, that is so sad!!! Do you know her hair type? Yes, please show her pictures on this blog. I hope she learns to love her curly hair. My daughter (in preschool) told me someone was mean to her the other day but she would not tell me why. It breaks our hearts, as parents, to hear something like that. No matter what it is. But especially because of something they were born with. I tell my daughter everyday how beautiful her hair is and show her pictures of women/children with their natural hair. I'm sure you do the same. I think she will eventually come around, as long as those kids stop being so cruel. I think parents need to talk to their children about different hair types, and skin colors so they are not confused or lead to believe one is better than the other.

Thanks so much for your post.
