Review: I love the smell of this conditioner. It's kind of fruity, which I like. I used this conditioner on A's hair after taking out her 4th of July Banded Ponytail Style. After rinsing shampoo from A's hair I smoothed a handful of conditioner over her wet hair. This conditioner is nice and creamy. It's not too thick but it had great slip. Detangling was a snap. I think I detangled all of her hair with my fingers and a wide tooth comb in 10 minutes. To be fair, her hair was previously in the banded ponytail style so it wasn't very tangled to begin with. I used less than 2 handfuls of this conditioner on her entire head. I rinsed the conditioner out of her hair in 6 braids as I usually do. When it came time to take each braid down to apply moisturizer her hair felt so soft. I am very pleased with this conditioner so far. I think this will be great for a new cowash. I will use it a few more times before I give my final say but for right now, it's a keeper and I do plan on repurchasing.
Update: I have used this conditioner two more times since my original review. I am loving it! It actually really provides a lot of slip for us. It makes finger detangling very easy, and the wide tooth comb just glides through her hair. What's interesting is that even though it's a light conditioner, it seems to kind of weighs her curls down. As soon as I apply the conditioner to her wet hair it keeps her curls weighed down/stretches them out so while I'm detangling her curls are not springing back up which makes detangling very easy. Each time I have cowashed her hair with this conditioner and detangled it took less than 10 minutes. Again, her hair has not been very tangled though since she has been wearing styles prior to cowashing. This conditioner leaves her hair feeling nice, soft and moisturized. I will definitely be repurchasing.
The photo below shows her hair wet, with the conditioner in. Maybe you can get an idea of what I was talking about.
I tried it last night and loved it as well. Lex hair was so soft this morning.
ReplyDeleteI just bought some of this recently for a giveaway. I haven't used it personally but I've heard a lot of great reviews. I may try it one day.

ReplyDeleteYes I use this Conditioner and Bee Mine regularly
ReplyDeleteThis may convince me to try Suave again. It seemed like after a while, Suave products stopped working for me. Maybe this will be a new cheap deep condish.
ReplyDeleteNice, I love the fact that everyone reports soft hair after use. I'm gonna have to give this conditioner a try.
ReplyDeleteI have been using this conditioner for about 2 months. I really like it. I use it for cowashes and I mix it in my deep conditioner concoction. Smells nice too!
ReplyDeleteNice. Let me know how it works with a cowash. I heard suave can be used for cowashing but I know of no one as of yet that uses them as a cowash for their children.
ReplyDeleteGood info, I will try it, I've been looking for a cowashing conditioner you read my mind.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the review. I saw this yesterday and I said I will wait to hear what Nikki thinks before I purchase it. I will pick it up this weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review Nik...It's nice to know about an inexpensive condish that works...I will have to give this a try with my lil girls' hair.
ReplyDeleteThis is actually the second time I hear good things about this product. To be honest I would have never expected it or even consider trying it. Its so inexpensive and not to mention I've gotten use to paying alot more than what I would pay for a bottle of Sauve... I will definitely have to give it a try. Thanks

ReplyDeleteI'm in love with Herbal Essences at the moment...I may have to give this a try when I finish with the Herbal Essences :) Have you tried the shampoo?
ReplyDeletei will keep my eye out for this one to try
ReplyDeleteI really want to try this because I've heard great things, but I'm allergic. =(
ReplyDeletei bought some yesterday
ReplyDeleteThanks for the updated post. I just cowashed Bae Bae's hair...so for the next cowash I must find and try this conditioner. So many mommies are giving great reviews.
ReplyDeleteA's curls look amazing. I love how they hang without much shrinkage as well. No matter.... A's hair look amazing with or without shrinkage when she wears it down. Beautiful and thick. Love it.
Her hair looks really nice, I'm going to try this conditioner. There are just so many great shampoos and conditioners that I just don't know which ones to try first!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks good. I have a coupon for this product! I have to try it out.
ReplyDeleteLookit that pretty curlytop girl!
ReplyDeleteI, too, love this conditioner. I made a spritz by shaking it up with some warm water and I use it to freshen Rosie's curls. It worked beautifully as a cowash as well as a leave-in. Between that and the coconut oil, her hair looks great.
Hi, I haven't tried this conditioner yet. I have kind of been having a debate with myself about how safe the ingredients are in our shampoos, conditioners, soap, etc. I came across a website called http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com . I was wondering how the rest of you feel about it. I like the all natural products, but they can be pricey, especially when I have 3 daughters with LOTS of hair! Any info or advice on the matter would be appreciated. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI love that hair, so long. I went to the base commissary today with my $1.00 off coupon and got 2 for only .89 cents woooo. I know it will work on Ray. Smells good too.
ReplyDeleteMy2gurlz, I think my daughter will be fine, however I think you should only use what you feel comfortable with. You can find other conditioners like Giovanni and Aubrey Organics (among others) at the Vitamin Shoppe for around $8. If you want to go more toward the natural route but still want to be on a budget then I suggest signing up for Vitamin Shoppe's Rewards Card, signing up for their newsletter, etc. They usually send coupons. When I first signed up I got one for 20% off. Also try to catch them when they're on sale. I'd recommend signing up for all of the stores that carry your favorite products, that way you're up to date on sales, prices, coupons, etc.
ReplyDeleteMy2gurlz - I'm with you. I soooo want to be on board with the super cheap brands - but after looking at their ingredients, I just can't. I have been researching and researching brands that I feel will be safe (long term, too) and I am starting to find some! There is hope!! I just ordered some Original Sprout (looks $$ but I've read you don't need much at a time so hopefully it will even out. I don't know that I trust the Deep condish, but everything else looks good.) and a new one I'm going to look into is Ely Organics. Giovanni even has some questionable ingredients, imo.
ReplyDeleteGL! I'm glad to know I'm not the only "crazy" one out here! LOL
I am glad that you gave an update. I went to walmart yesterday and was going to pick it up but I said I will wait for the update. I will purchase it at lunch today.
ReplyDeleteWow, A's hair looks really good...wet or dry! Good job Nik!
ReplyDeleteThank you Nik, I will keep that in mind
ReplyDelete@Dreamer13...Thanks for the suggestions. Please let me know how it works out for you. I don't think we are that "crazy" lol. I, myself, have VERY sensitive skin and my hands can't handle the chemicals that are in a lot of products and it just makes me wonder...
Thanks for the post. A's hair looks very healthy. A friend of mines uses this conditioner and says almost exactly the same thing you did about the product.
ReplyDeleteThe results you got with her(slip and weight) are the same that I would get with my own hair when I was younger and using Suave. Maybe this formula is similar to what I used back in the day. I may have to pick this up and give it a try.
ReplyDeleteThe products looks good! :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to try it.. If i can find it inexspensive on a Europan website, or in a shop in Copenhagen or on Fyn.
Your daughters hair are so beautifull! :)
ReplyDeleteI still cant belive how beautifull it is!
I love this conditioner, it's affordable it really works well.I've been using it for about a monthand with the hot-humid summer days(where I live) my daughter's hair has had a case of the frizzy-frizzies and I find that cowashing her hair with this 2 or three times a week keeps it soft and less frizzy. I also leave it in for about 30 minutes after shampooing and it really moisturizes her 3c4a curls and it works great on my hair as well(naturally wavy)
