Shutterfly's Giving Away 50 Free Holiday Cards to Bloggers!

Photobucket

Yep, you read right! Shutterfly is giving away 50 free holiday cards to bloggers! Any size public website/blog can participate, how cool is that?! I actually *just* placed my order with Shutterfly. I ordered the adorable holiday card above. It comes in a 5x7, matte finish. I cannot wait to see how they turn out! I will definitely keep you all posted. Although I already ordered, some extra free ones don't hurt, right? :P

When the holiday season rolls around, it's always great to have extra cards for family members. If you don't, next thing you know you will be hearing from your long lost cousin asking why they didn't get one, lol.

I actually went to a few different sites to play around with the photocards before finally deciding on Shutterfly. I really liked the card I chose, they were the only one with that style and their site had to be the easiest to navigate. I simply uploaded a photo, dragged it on to the card and saved!

If you're a blogger, go sign up here. They have tons of cute cards to choose from!

Edited to add:

Click here to see their Christmas photo cards, click here to see their photo calendars (makes a great gift!) and finally, you can check out their cute birthday cards by clicking here. Have fun!

Chunky Twist Out Part 2 + We Saw Tangled!

Photobucket

A's Thanksgiving twist out was rained on and slept on so the next day I decided to re-twist her hair. I spritzed her hair with water, added a little Bee Mine Curly Butter to a large section, detangled with our modified Denman D3 brush and started twisting. Instead of 10 twists like last time, she had about 12 twists. This time around I decided to split each section up into 2-3 parts. I used my fingers to fluff the roots and hide any visible parts and she was good to go!

We decided to go see the movie 'Tangled' today in 3D. If you're a Facebook friend then you probably know I was a little hesitant to see it because Rapunzel is pretty much what the media portrays as (most) beautiful and I was a little worried about what A would think. The movie was really cute though! We both enjoyed it. I admit, I got choked up a couple of times towards the end but I sucked it up like a champ. ;) I loved the 3D effects! This was our first time seeing a movie in 3D so it was really cool for the both of us. I do have an issue though, what is up with these movie prices?! I'm not even going to tell you what I spent on just the two of us for tickets and food. What ever happened to $1 movies and sneaking in food? :P

Have you seen the movie Tangled? Thoughts?

Cornrows and A Big Puff

Instructions:
  • Always start with clean, detangled, moisturized hair. I started by parting Anisa's hair down the middle from front to back. Gather one side into a ponytail in order to work on the other side. I began by making a braid in the center of her head. I braid stopped in the center of her head. It is not necessary to braid the hair to the end because it will be gathered into the big puff.
  • Next I made a cornrow on one side of the center cornrow. This cornrow goes all the way down to her ear. You will repeat this step on the other side. Next, I made another cornrow behind the cornrow I just made. This cornrow will go all the way to the back of her head. You will repeat this step on the other side as well.
  • The final cornrow was made near the back of her ear, underneath the last cornrow that was made. This cornrow will go all the way to the back as well.
  • I gathered the remaining hair into two separate puffs. My final step was to gather the two puffs together with an ouchless band in order to make one big puff on top. Finish the look by adding your beads of choice.
