Do you have any favorite drug store products?
If I had to choose one it would definitely be Herbal Essence Hello Hydration Conditioner. I have been using this conditioner for over 1 year on A and it never fails us! I only buy the big bottle of this stuff, $5 at Walmart, not bad! Your turn.
HE Hello Hydration, Hot Six Oil, and any Suave conditioner...hmmm and Eco-Styler clear gel. We use Elasta QP Creme Shampoo, but I'm quite sure there are others that I'm forgetting. :-)
ReplyDeleteI also LOVE the Hot Six Oil, Garnier fructis, some Motions, Just for me and B&B. I usually try to purchas them from Walgreens because they usually have a 4 or 3 for $10 sale on their hair products.
ReplyDeleteI like Suave coconut as a leave in conditioner.
ReplyDeleteMy absolute can't live without item is
ReplyDeleteTRESemme Smooth Smoothing Creme which is about $6.50 for 200ml i've tried so many other leave in conditioners but so far i always end up back with this product as the others just don't do the same job..
I also love the Hello Hydration products! I also like to use the Herbal Essence None of Your Frizzness Smoothing Leave-In Creme. I buy them from Target or Walmart. There are usually coupons in the Sunday paper so that makes the purchases even better!
ReplyDeleteI love Hello Hydration as well! It smells wonderful and it's so thick and creamy. I also really like Suave Daily Clarifying shampoo.
ReplyDeleteI also love Hello Hydration, I recently tried a product by Taliah Waajid called
ReplyDeleteKinky, Wavy, Natural Hair Easy Herbal Comb Out($5.00) and Kinky, Wavy, Natural Herbal Style & Shine($5.00). Im really loving these products right now. I purchased both of them at CVS, but they are also sold at target!!! Anyone else try these product?
I've tried the herbal essence also. Like it.
ReplyDeleteI'm also wondering about Taliah products too.
I use to buy soft sheen Carson wave nouveau finishing mist (8oz) from walgreens when they were $3.99. They have went up $2.00. Now I buy them at my local bss (32 oz) for $8.99. Sorry, but I love deals. They still have the same ingredients.
I currently do not buy anything besides the the coconut oil and shea butter but when L is old enough I think I will try the Hello Hydration products. I've heard alot of compliments on them so far.
ReplyDeleteUmm...can you say Organix? I love this stuff. Herbal Essence Hello Hydration, Sauve Tropical Coconut Conditioner and I've been hearing alot about the VO5 moisture milks. I'm going to try that once I'm out of the Sauve. You can not beat a bottle of conditioner for $1. I love it! I get it all at Walmart. I practically live in that place, lol.
ReplyDeleteJust tried Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship and it is fabulous! Currently our hair is absolutely loving Pantene Relaxed and Natural conditioner mixed w/EVOO (4 tbsp. conditioner + 1 tbsp. EVOO). The girls and I get such soft hair from that combo. Just bought Organix coconut milk and I'm still waiting to try it...it was buy 1 get 1 free at Walgreens a few weeks ago PLUS it had a mail-in rebate for the full purchase price...SCORE!!!

ReplyDeleteVo5 Strawberries & Creme - on the bottom half of distilled water dampened hair when swimming
ReplyDeleteORS Lock & Twist Gel - every now and again I mix this with Aloe Vera Gel and some oils and use it to retwist my locs
Anybody ever try the HE Break's Over conditioner? It is hands down my all time fav but I cannot seem to find it anywhere anymore! So now I use HEHH conditioner, HE None of Your Frizziness Leave in Cream, and Organix Coconut Milk Anti-Breakage Serum. For shampoo we've been using Mane & Tail Mosturizing Shampoo. - Jessica
ReplyDeleteWell i have been turned on to the Hello Hydration by herbal Essence.
ReplyDeleteNYC has lots of beauty stores with hundreds of products. The last time I was there I grabbed some hair moisturizers. On your blog I learned to pay closer attention to the ingredients and I picked some Organic/natural things. I spent 7 dollars on 2 products, 1 for me and 1 for my daughter, not bad ;-]
ReplyDeleteI forgot to mention, the only thing I buy at drugstores is medication, other things are more expensive there than at supermarkets or other stores. I do love Walmart, when I got there my husband has to drag me out, literally lol ;-]
ReplyDelete@NylahsMommy I tried a sample size of the smooth and shine, and I think the ingredients didn't agree with her scalp because she broke out.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to add HE Hydralicious, yummers! Both of us use it for our co-washes, and it makes her hair so soft and easy to detangle (makes the coils I do have pop).
I love love love the Herbal Essences Totally Twisted. It's great for getting those curls to pop!!!
ReplyDeleteYes I also love the Organix Coconut Milk Shampoo & Conditioner.
ReplyDeleteI love Herbal Essence Conditioners. I have tried a few, including the Hydralicious some of you mentioned, good stuff! The down side is I have not found it in the bigger bottles so I stick with the Hello Hydration.
Angela I have the totally twisted conditioner in my closet, I'll have to try it soon! I loaded up on the Herbal Essence conditioners a while back at Riteaid, lol.
I love Suave Naturals conditioner (coconut scent). I use it mostly to co-wash. That's about all I use from the drug store, unless you count Burt's Bees Pomegranate condish and shampoo. I only use shampoo on occasion.
ReplyDelete@ BeadsBraidsBeyond: I guarantee you will love the Totally Twisted conditioner. It's light, has great slip and smells like lavender. I need to stock up on conditioner and I'm actually thinking about trying the Hello Hydration :)
ReplyDeleteI like the Herbal Essance dangerously straight.. it leave Kimora hair very soft and easy to comb... love that stuff
ReplyDeleteHerbal Essance Hello Hydration, Love it!! We both use it.
ReplyDeleteHello Hydration for me too :-)
