Remember back when I posted about the Back to Basics natural Barbie we bought A? I also posted about another natural 1980's Barbie that I saw on the back of one of her other Barbies, well, A's daddy found it and bought it for her!
Here she is with both her natural Barbies, she loves them!
And yes I'm bad about price tags. If you saw her Merry Christmas video then you know I left the tags on everything! lol
Incase you don't remember, we bought the Back to Basics Barbie from Kmart for $20, and he just bought her the 1980's Barbie from Walmart for $45
Drea she got the back to basics barbie back in like, I think Feb. of this year, and as you can see it's still in the box- I'm right there with you. LOL.
I was thinking about buying another back to basics one so she can play with it. But- her father started buying her dolls so she can have a collection. If you saw the Merry Christmas video, she hasn't opened any of the collector dolls from that video, and she has gotten several more other dolls to add to her collection that are unopened. At the same time, she has plenty of dolls that she plays with, lol. She has two Princess Tiana dolls- one unopened and one she plays with. :)
Awww I been thinking about a doll collections for my girls I saw those in the store and felled in love with the. I just dont have any room right now to put them though
That is neat...I never see many black barbies around here (which is CRAZY, b/c black/hispanics are not the minority here) let alone these type of Barbies...I might have to look online
That's a cool idea, I'm going to have to take a look at our local walmart to see what they have. TK would really love starting a collection. Maybe her auntie will pass down some of hers to TK.
I have these same Barbie dolls. I LOVE LOVE LOVE BARBIE. I did get a better deal though. I got the 1980 Barbie from Target in Austell, Ga for $11.23 and the Barbie Basics for $4.98 from another Target here in Atlanta. I collect all Barbies in any skin color.
im a new barbie collector ( not brand new, ive been collecting a little under a year) and just bought the repro black barbie on amazon. i had her as a little girl and always thought she was so beautiful. the 80's really did have the most glamorous and stunning barbies ever! the majority of my collection so far are 80's barbies (great shape, day to nite, peaches and cream, crystal, dream glow, loving you, pink and pretty) because not only are they GORGEOUS, but because of the nostalgia. (i had most of them as a kid)Im going to start concentrating on other eras now though because i think i got jus about everything i wanted from the 80s. anyways, before i go, i just wanted to say that the little girl in the pic is absolutely ADORABLE! look at that face! too cute.
